made in the technique of wet felt and decorated with a needle felt, and felt applique
the decoration on this play mat has all been created using different colours of Merino wool, teswater locks and well felted and fulled for endurance. The scene is a vegetable garden with the river making the perfect place for pastors to build a house, graze the sheep, chickens and other animals. It allows children to tell their own stories.
Soft and inviting to the touch with vibrant colours to make this a really lovely sensory toy.
